CONFERENCE ON ISLAMIC CIVILISATION IN AFRICA     ALIF SOCIETY was invited by AWQAF South Africa to a conference in Capetown on Islamic Civilisation in Southern Africa in November 2022. Dawood Auleear, Farhad Ramjaun and Jonid Dowlut participated in the symposium as representatives of Alif. It was an enriching experience as a succession of speakers brought to light the rich Islamic History in the Southern tip of Africa. It was an opportunity for Alif delegates to meet the Organisers and especially the IRCICA delegation. CONFERENCE ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE REVELATION OF THE QURAN IN ISTANBUL   On 5 September 2010 the conference Hall of Jawahara Hotel in Istanbul was the venue  of an International conference on the theme: The revelation of the Quran. Delegates from 25 countries took part in the meeting and presented learned papers on the theme. PM Erdogan honoured the gathering by joining them over tea and shaking hands with every body. Honouring some great Mauritians at le Meridien Hotel, Balaclava DONALD AH CHUEN, JUSTICE ANGOH, PIERRE AH SUE AND JUSTICE HAJEE ABDOOLLAH.               ALIF SOCIETY  celebrated the appointments of Justice Angoh and Justice Hajee Abdoollah to the Supreme Court together with the elevation of Donald Ah Chuen to GOSK and Pierre Ah Sue to CSK over a dinner at le Meridien Hotel, Balaclava.
