DESCRIPTION:ALIF SOCIETY GUEST OF UPM ON CONVOCATION\n  \nGeneral view of the Convocation Hall \n  \n  \n  \nLeft: The Sultan is entering the Hall. \n  \n  \n  \nRight: The Sultam is greeting the Mauritian delegation. \nALIF SOCIETY was invited on Saturday 4 November 2017 to the convocation of UPM\, a university with which Alif has an MoU. Most of Alif’ Society’s students have graduated from this prestigious University. The Vice Chancellor of UPM was Alif’s guest in August of the same year. \nUniversity Convocation in Malaysia is an occasion of festivity and cultural shows attended by the top guns of Malaysia.  VVIPs were treated to a lunch where the Chief Guest was the Sultan of Selangor. All guests are greeted by the King. \n

SUMMARY:VISIT TO INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF MALAYSIA
DESCRIPTION:COURTESY CALL ON THE RECTOR OF IIUM\nDuring his visit to Malaysia in November 2022\, the President called on the Rector of IIUM\, Tan Sri Dzul Kifly on his campus in Gombak. They prayed swalat Jummah together and had tea in his office. It was an occasion to discuss the possibility of sending Alif students to IIUM . Tan Sri Zul was as courteous as usual and offered some scholarships for post graduate studies. He added that he would try to include offers of scholarships  to Alif Society in the next budget. \n  \n  \nTan Sri Dzul is offering his book THE BOSNIAN EXPERIENCE IN MALAYSIA to the visitor.

Its President Hashim invited the President of Alif Society to participate in the grand Jumboree of Islamic scholars. \nLearned Ulemas from across the world presented their papers and enlightened discussions followed after each presentation. \nThe Asian hospitality is a wonder. DESCRIPTION:CONFERENCE ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE REVELATION OF THE QURAN IN ISTANBUL\n  \n \nOn 5 September 2010 the conference Hall of Jawahara Hotel in Istanbul was the venue  of an International conference on the theme: The revelation of the Quran. \nDelegates from 25 countries took part in the meeting and presented learned papers on the theme. \nPM Erdogan honoured the gathering by joining them over tea and shaking hands with every body. The President was introduced to PM Erdogan by Dr. Harin Eren\, Director of IRCICA. PM Erdogan remembered his visit to Mauritius and assigned a special officer to assist Alif Society in its relations with Institutions of Higher Learning in Turkey. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:CONFERENCE ON ISLAMIC CIVILISATION IN AFRICA\n  \n\n  \nALIF SOCIETY was invited by AWQAF South Africa to a conference in Capetown on Islamic Civilisation in Southern Africa in November 2022. \nDawood Auleear\, Farhad Ramjaun and Jonid Dowlut participated in the symposium as representatives of Alif. \nIt was an enriching experience as a succession of speakers brought to light the rich Islamic History in the Southern tip of Africa.
