On a previous visit, the President met the former SG Ihsanoglu in Jedddah and Istanbul.                   OIC  Head of Minority Affairs                                                                                                                                                OIC Head of Family Affairs OIC Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ahmed Sengendo   VISIT TO THE HQ OF OIC IN JEDDAH The President visited the HQ of the OIC in Jeddah and had lengthy discussion with various staff members on the organisation of the conference scheduled in September 2023 in Mauritius.  The discussions led to an agreement on the modalities of then organisation and roles of all stake holders.

COURTESY CALL ON THE RECTOR OF IIUM During his visit to Malaysia in November 2022, the President called on the Rector of IIUM, Tan Sri Dzul Kifly on his campus in Gombak. They prayed swalat Jummah together and had tea in his office. It was an occasion to discuss the possibility of sending Alif students to IIUM . Tan Sri Zul was as courteous as usual and offered some scholarships for post graduate studies.
