VIEWS OF UITM CAMPUS IN SHAH ALAM During one of his visits to Malaysia, The President visited Universiti Technologi Mara in  Shah Alam and met its Vice Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor confessed he had heard about Mauritius and had already wanted to visit our island. Since he personally met a Mauritian, he decided to come to Mauritius for a short holiday. UITM is the biggest Malaysian University with several campuses spread over the Malaysian States  with a student population of about 80,000.               The relationship of Alif with UPM started in 1998 when the President was attending an International Conference at Putra World Trade Centre organised by the International Islamic University. The Organisers had a put a premium on networking which program allowed the President to meet the Administration of Universiti Putra Malaysia.
