RELATIONSHIP USM-ALIF

USM is a leader in Science Education, with the main campus on a hill in Penang and its medical campus on Kota Baru, Kelantan. The Vice Chancellor was Dato’ Dzul Kifli, Zul for intimates. USM has been in the news regularly as the visionary Vice Chancellor created an atmosphere on the campus that would bring about the best results.

Dato Zul and a team of Lecturers visited Mauritius as the guests of Alif to study the possibility of co-operation between USM and Mauritian institutions. he offered to implant a fishery project if the Mauritian side accepted his offer. The project consisted of raising fresh water fish in Canvas tanks.

About 75 Mauritian Youth have graduated from the Penang Campus and about 38 doctors have specialised at the Kota Baru Campus.
